“We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."
- Sam Keen

Couples clients come to New Day Vitality at various times in their relationship. Some couples' clients are in the early stages of forming, some are in crisis, and yet others aren’t even sure what they need or want but know that something is feeling “off”. Couples work is family work and it’s teamwork. Couples have at times shared that they are trying to build a life with another person that doesn’t look like the relationships modeled for them as youth. Others yearn for versions of their relationship that feels like a memory of the distant past. Still some couples come to therapy struggling with vulnerability, building trust and finding forgiveness. At New Day Vitality, we have found that enhancing communication skills, sharpening emotional regulation skills and facilitating safe spaces for dialogue has helped couples “try on” new ways of being, resulting in positive outcomes.
